If you browse a catalog from any of the high end hunting equipment or outdoor supply companies, you’ll find ways to mount a rifle above the sun visors or cases that hang over the back of the seat as well as the traditional rack attached to the inside of a truck’s rear window. Even your local police officer typically has a scattergun sticking up out of the console of their Crown Vic, however, my research shows there has been little thought into finding an acceptable method for mounting a handgun.
